Xiaomi should launch a new Mi Band 5 this year. Manufacturer Huami has now confirmed that it is actively working on the new fitness tracker.
Xiaomi has been reissuing and improving a very interesting fitness bracelet over and over again for several years, and after the last major update, a Mi Band 5 will also be presented. Recently, the rumors emerged, but the product presented at the end was a Equally inexpensive fitness bracelet for the Xiaomi Redmi sub-brand. So there is still a Mi Band 5 pending for this year.
Mi Band 5 is still on the way for this year
Now there is probably an official announcement from the company that has been building the Mi Band devices for Xiaomi for years. Huami announced through a Chinese network that work on the Mi Band 5 is progressing well. The new generation, which would later be the Mi Band 5, should definitely launch this year. However, so far there are no technical details or a precise date for the presentation. By the way, the predecessor was in June 2019.
Only with Mi Band 4 there was a change to a full OLED screen with colors and touch, for the next generation we expect a payment system through NFC for the European market. Google Pay is currently out of the question, the payment system is only available directly on Android devices. However, Xiaomi’s own virtual prepaid credit card would be conceivable.
